What the photographer likes about the image: |
This was the championship game and the picture captures the last
shot by the opposing team, who were behind by one point. If the
goalie had missed the ball, the whole game would have changed. |

Techniques Used: |
I used a circular-polarizing filter to improve saturation and
cut glare, as it was a very bright day. The camera was in Shutter
Priority mode and the shutter speed was set to 1/750. |

Things to notice: |
I particularly like how everyone in the photo is looking to see
what the goalie will do, and here he is with a smile on his face
and the ball in his hand. I was able to freeze the key instant
and freeze it in time forever. When doing sports photography,
sometimes you can see the scene captured in front of your eyes,
through your camera, and you know you've gotten that shot! |
