Painted Boats |

Granville Island, Vancouver, British Columbia |

What the photographer likes about the image: |
The composition and the dramatic lighting. The arrangement
of the boats is like mixing paint- blue and yellow make green. The
contrast of curves and straight lines draw the eye in. |
|
Techniques Used: |
I took the exposure reading off of the inside of the
boats so that the colors would be true and accurate. |
|
Things to notice: |
She chose an unusual perspective and framing for this
picture. Notice the use of lines to create depth. When shooting
pictures, look for geometric patterns to create eye catching compositions.
She increased saturation and darkened the water to really make the
colors pop. |
